What inspired Dunn4Good?
Our 10-month-old son, Wesley Dunn is our inspiration that lead us to create the Dunn4Good Guild. Wesley is currently battling High-Risk Infant Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Diagnosed at just 11-weeks-old, Wesley has endured more than most have had to in a lifetime.
We want to push for more research advancements, advocacy and funding to establish safer, less toxic treatments for children. It’s been very challenging trying to make sense of his diagnosis and wondering how/why this happened to our baby. We want to focus our energy continuing to advocate and fight for these young cancer warriors, build community and raise our voices for good. We want to give back to those who have helped continue to champion and care for Wes, while showing our commitment to never giving up hope.
Seeing baby Wes endure the harsh treatments of chemotherapy and spending his first year of life stuck in a hospital is something we wish no child and family should have to experience. We can’t accept a world where childhood cancers exist and will do everything we can to ensure healthy and prosperous futures for our children.
